> Warsaw Synchronicity (1 2 3)

An ideas invitation for a publication entitled: Synchronicity 1: no hear no see.

The project proposes a future for Warsaw using ignorance of the city as a starting point.

"We have a distant, voyeur relationship with Warsaw. We think of a city of sequential vastness, a skipping and linking of spaces. Large traffic-ways are the central fluxus, homages to consistency, bulk and strength. The architecture is obedient , but muscular and defensive: it sits politely away from the street, yet casts a wide, heavy shadow. The city grows by grand gestures, new monuments in concrete harmonised by emptiness for contemplation.
The city is distant, systematic, a global city that will bear the same criteria as many others: a new system of building ordinances (a city scripting) will evolve. The significance of socio-cultural building, orthogonal urban grids, places for cars, for pedestrians, for war, for spectacle, will be obsolete to the new directives facing designated polluted and clean spaces, reception of communication networks, innovation clusters, and cyclical energy systems."
