An ideas competition for a new city tower in Busan, Korea.
Our proposal was to investigate the micro-climatic change in the structure from ground level to the top, and concieve a building skin could interact spatially with it.
The result was a skin of sensoral zones, each with an attached weather balloon.
On a cool day, the tower develops a pillowed facade, with the balloons inflated. On a warm sunny day, the balloons retract, and the building is reduced to its bare structure.
